Miss Pole Dance UK 2017, Rachel is an opera singer by profession, and has been dancing since the tender age of three, and has always had a passion for movement. Even though she comes from a strong balletic background, she has also explored many different forms of dance including tap, jazz, hip-hop, ballroom, salsa, tango and African dance. In addition, she trained as a rhythmic gymnast for many years and competed in the United States at a high level, even advancing to the US Junior Olympics. Chasing her performance dreams to New York, she studied musical theatre for two years before realizing her voice was more suited for classical music. She completed her Bachelor of Music in vocal performance at the University of Colorado, Boulder and then achieved her Master of Music in vocal performance at The Boston Conservatory. During her university years in Boulder, she maintained a constant schedule of ballet training, yoga and African dance to keep fit and happy. It wasn’t until she moved to Boston, that she discovered pole fitness and instantly fell in love. Rachel has now been pole dancing since 2011, and has enjoyed every moment of the continuing journey. What she loves most about pole dance is that it builds incredible strength, flexibility, grace, sensuality and most importantly, self-confidence! She believes there is no other activity that combines all these aspects in such a unique way. She enjoys being upside-down as much as possible, and when she’s not in the air, you can find her singing opera, learning (and drinking) the world of wine, cooking, cart-wheeling and loving life. Rachel teaches all levels at EDP, lots of gorgeous slinky sexy classes, spinning pole and lyrical choreo and our most Advanced/ Professional classes. She was the winner of IPAAT 2016.
